Asha Student Ambassadors Meet
On June 21, 2015 Dr Kiran spent a day with Asha Student Ambassadors, discussing their achievements as Asha Ambassadors and Internships. The students realized, for the first time, that they were true Heroes! As a mark of love and respect, the students also arranged a small birthday celebration for Dr Kiran.
Dr Kiran congratulated the students for their hard work with the high school students that has shown excellent results. The Student Ambassadors resolved to work extremely hard for the ongoing university admissions of younger students from the slum communities.
“I feel way more confident and encouraged to work as a Student Ambassador. With increased awareness about the welfare of my slum community, I am determined to be a part of the change that is taking place,” shared Student Ambassador Shabnam.
Applauding the students for their commendable work, she talked about the true meaning of Heroism with them. “You have fought bravely for success, unflinching in your determination, and with belief in your abilities,” quoted Dr Kiran from her recent blog. The students shared how wonderful it was to be complimented as a hero – something they had never realized before.
