Mr. Philip’s visit was particularly focused on getting to know more about the work of Asha and the life of people living in the slums. He had an interactive exchange with the members of Asha’s women’s and children’s groups in Dr. Ambedkar slum colony  and was pleased to hear the stories of transformation that has taken place in their lives. Keen to know more about their living conditions, he asked a lot of questions about their day to day lives from the food they had to their interest in films and sports and the challenges they faced in the slum environment.
