Royal School Armagh volunteers at Asha
It was great to have a team from Royal School Armagh with us. This was their first visit to Asha, and the students came up with some wonderful activities to engage with our children from Trilokpuri slum colony.
During their visit to Trilokpuri, the team refurbished the Asha slum centre and painted beautiful murals on the walls. They also dedicated one of the walls to write the Asha Values, in English as well as Hindi.
Some of the students conducted classes with younger children, to teach them English and brush up their general knowledge. The Asha children learnt about countries, their flags, types of languages, spoken English, and gained knowledge about other such relevant topics. There were also art and craft activities conducted by the Royal School Armagh team. They taught the children how to make hand puppets and masks along with many other craft articles.
The team also took part in the East meets West music concert and delivered some extremely beautiful performances showcasing their culture.
A Big Thank You, Royal School Armagh for all your efforts. Such wonderful activities really turn out to be extremely beneficial for our children. We look forward to having you again with us.
