Physiotherapy unit at Asha Slum Community

Physiotherapy unit at Asha Slum Community

On April 17, 2015 Asha created yet another landmark in its Healthcare Programme!

Long time Asha Ambassadors Angus Cuthbert and Will Colhoun from First Antrim Presbyterian Church, Northern Ireland handed over the keys of Asha’s first ever Physiotherapy unit at Ekta Vihar slum colony. Angus and Will have been instrumental in raising vital funds for this project over the past many months. Will, a practicing Physiotherapist, has also helped equipping the unit with his expert guidance.

Assisted by Asha’s Physiotherapist Shweta Aggarwal, Will also conducted a workshop for Asha’s healthcare staff at Ekta Vihar. They demonstrated basic postures that should be adopted and also discussed ways in which the health workers could encourage the community to adopt these practices.
