St Stephen’s team visit to Asha’s 30th year celebration
It was wonderful to have Amanda and her team from St Stephen’s church, Twickenham,UK, visit Asha on its 30th-year celebration. While on their visit the team volunteered at our Zakhira slum community conducting activities with the children and women.
It was special to see Amanda and her team facilitate the value-based activity with the children. Together the team and the children made beautiful spice bags to express gratitude towards their mothers by gifting them these spice bags.
The team also spent a day at New Seelampur, located at Yamuna river bed interacting with the women and children and understanding the challenges and hardships faced by the residents of this community.
We are grateful to Amanda and her team for coming all the way to celebrate with us and for adding value to the lives of our slum dwellers.
