Global Friends of Asha
The Asha family is a global one: supporters around the world have been drawn to the Asha values or been inspired by visiting the Asha communities in Delhi.
In the UK, Ireland, USA and Australia, individuals have set up Friends of Asha organisations to support Asha’s work from abroad. These independently registered bodies, run completely voluntarily, help us to:
- Increase the support base in their region.
- Draw in professionals from different walks of life who are interested in issues related to urban poverty.
- Look for and support volunteers who will work with the Asha team in Delhi.
- Increase the funds raised for Asha by recruiting new donors and supporting existing fundraising groups (e.g. by providing publicity material).
You can find out more about Asha’s global presence, get to know your local coordinators and stay tuned in with news and events in your area, by visiting their individual pages.
