As another year passed by, we bring to you the remarkable progress that Asha has made across Delhi slum communities.
This year’s statistics in Healthcare showcase the relentless work of each and every individual at Asha. 100% children born in Asha slums have received proper vaccinations (BCG) and Vitamin A Supplements and only 13% children were born with low birth weight at our slum communities. Also, births assisted by untrained birth attendant continues to be zero percent at Asha.
We have come a long way in the Higher Education Programme since its inception in 2008 as we have created history by sending nearly 1500 students for tertiary education. Simultaneously, Asha’s Internship Programme also continues to reach out to students from the slums – helping them to learn professional mannerisms. This year, another milestone that the Asha students reached was completing a certificate course in Business English.
