Dr Kiran: ”The Asha team and Warriors rigorously monitoring Covid positive patients every day. Patients wait anxiously for their arrival. They and their families live in fear of the illness getting severe and they dread needing a hospital bed. The daily news on television is frightening.
The team comforts and consoles them, explains their findings to them, helps them understand the interpretation of their vitals, and the treatment being given. There is so much relief when patients and their families are told that they are getting better. They are always grateful. Some are upset because they don’t want to become victims of stigma and be ostracized by their communities.”
