As part of Asha’s ongoing commitment to improving health outcomes in Delhi’s slum communities, Asha recently conducted a series of impactful awareness and screening camps under its Non-Communicable Chronic Disease Management Program. These camps, held across our community centers, focused on educating residents about the growing risks of diabetes and hypertension—two silent yet prevalent health threats in these areas.
Through a combination of early detection screenings and personalized counselling, the camps provided critical health insights and actionable strategies to hundreds of beneficiaries. Participants learned about effective prevention measures, including the adoption of healthier lifestyle choices, balanced diets, and regular exercise. The camps also emphasized the importance of proper medication adherence, routine monitoring, and stress management techniques, empowering individuals to take control of their health and mitigate the risks associated with chronic diseases.
