Asha’s Work and Nancy’s Journey Featured in National Media

We are proud to share that the work of Dr. Kiran Martin and Asha Society, along with the inspiring journey of Nancy, an Asha student from the Peeragarhi slum in Delhi to University of Melbourne, has been featured across 8–9 national newspapers following the speech by the Honourable Jason Clare, Australia’s Minister for Education, at the Universities Australia Solutions Summit 2026.

In his address, the Honourable Minister highlighted Nancy’s journey from a slum community in Delhi to pursuing higher education. Her story reflects the impact of Asha’s long-standing work in education, healthcare, and community development.

From the narrow lanes of Delhi’s slums to recognition on an international stage, this coverage reflects more than 35 years of Asha’s commitment to ensuring that children from underserved communities have the opportunity to learn, dream, and succeed.

We are grateful to the media for sharing this story of hope and opportunity.
