Dr.Kiran Martin and Asha students bid adieu to British High Commissioner Sir Dominic Asquith
In the words of Dr. Kiran Martin- ‘What a wonderful day it was yesterday. We said goodbye to the British High Commissioner to India Sir Dominic and his wife Lady Asquith at my home over drinks. Many young people whose lives they had touched came to see them one last time to express their gratitude.
An internship at the BHC was a turning point in their lives. The graduates were from PwC, Barclays, Macquarie, BHC, Australian HC, print and electronic media, and a number of other professions, all of them surrounding Sir Dominic and Lady Asquith, and thanking them for their wonderful support and wishing them well for the future. Sir Dominic said that his partnership with the Asha family was the highlight of his four years in India. He and Lady Asquith are more than keen to continue their involvement with FOA GB. They will be based in Somerset and will also keep travelling to London. So many new opportunities might open up in the UK!
We gifted him a lovely tie and her a beautiful stole. And he took off the tie he was wearing and wore his gift right away as did Lady Louise! They both looked awesome!’
