If you would like to contribute to the lives of poor slum dwellers in Delhi, then you can become a Friend of Asha. Friends of Asha (Great Britain) aids our activities through donations, fundraising events, volunteering opportunities and raising awareness of the work we do.
Nourishing Children in Delhi’s Slums: Support our New Initiative
As Asha continues to impact communities, we would like to support our most vulnerable: children under five years old.
Asha’s Early Childhood Nutrition Campaign will provide nutritious food, healthcare, and emotional support to the most vulnerable children. This program will offer healthy meals, early learning activities, and critical health services to empower families and ensure children have the resources they need to thrive. This campaign will build on our health check-ups, vaccinations, and medical care. By expanding to include comprehensive nutrition and early childhood development, we can change the course of a child’s life—especially for young girls, who are often given less food and fewer opportunities than boys.
Your donation will bring us closer to the £11,500 needed to provide these life-changing resources for one year to children in one slum, £23,000 for children in two slums, and £34,500 per year for children in three slums. With your support, we can expand this program to all Asha slums.

Protecting Health
£50 – will provide basic health education for 1,000 slum dwellers for a month
£75 – will provide Ante Natal care for five pregnant women for a month
£250 – will provide geriatric health care and Love and Lunch for five elderlies for a month
£500 -will provide medical care for ten chronic ill patients for a month
Promoting Education
£3200 – Covers one year of university expenses for a professional course for one student in a semi-private university
£1600 – Covers one year of university expenses for one student in a public university
£1000 – Covers running and maintenance expenses for one IT lab for one year
£800 – Covers advanced upskilling courses for one student for six months
£500 -Covers clothing, footwear, and transportation for one student for one year
£200 – Covers the cost of books for a university student for one year
Donations
Friends of Asha GB (Charity Registration No. 1085071) is an independent UK charitable organisation that raises and receives donations in the United Kingdom and uses its charitable funds to support Asha’s programmes in India through grants.
Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act Compliance 2026
Where a donation constitutes foreign contribution under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (FCRA), as amended from time to time, Asha Society is now required to collect the donor’s name, nationality/citizenship, postal address, email address, donation amount, date and mode of contribution.
Such information may be furnished to the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, statutory authorities, auditors, where required or permitted by applicable law.
