This World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, the Asha slum communities came together to spread awareness about the disease and its prevention.
Standing by the theme of this year – Unite to End TB – the community members of different age groups, united to tell the community about the ways in which they can prevent the disease.
While the Asha Health Workers screened the slum dwellers for any trace of infection, the children carried out rallies to create awareness. These energetic bunch of community ambassadors took it upon themselves to inform every individual about the disease, motivating them to get regular tests done.
With the wonderful efforts like these, we hope to at least limit the spread of chronic diseases like tuberculosis soon!
