On 1st August, Asha Student Ambassadors took part in the first ever student lead panel discussion aimed at providing much-needed career guidance to their younger peers. The 500 strong audience comprised the 130 1st-year university students along with many in the 2nd and 3rd year of their undergraduate programmes.
Amongst the panelists were Student Ambassadors, Dilip, Usha, Chandan, Deepak, Sunil and Mahesh and Asha supervisor Soni Sharma. From commerce to political science, mathematics, geography, human resource management and media studies, the panel showcased a varied academic background.


They were able to answer all the questions with much ease, and for the one’s the panelists could not answer, they invited other Students Ambassadors from the audience to step ahead and respond to the queries.


Following the panel discussion, Dr Kiran addressed the gathering and expressed her joy at seeing so many young faces ready to begin a new chapter in their lives. She congratulated toppers and urged them to continue to put in their best efforts and flourish in life.


“Our Student Ambassadors are amazing role models for each one of you. They have not just played a great role in the university admissions, but also are achieving great heights academically and professionally,” she said applauding the Ambassadors’ efforts.


It was heartening to see that the students who have had extremely challenging beginnings are now able to provide such expert guidance to their younger peers, all with a hope of creating ripples of transformation in the communities.
