The Anniversary Week: Celebrating 25 Years of Asha

Asha marked its 25th anniversary with a week of festivities to celebrate a quarter-century of empowering Delhi’s slum communities.

The first formal event of the week took place on Tuesday, 5th February at the India Habitat Centre in central New Delhi. During the evening, video presentations and speeches by dignitaries and slum dwellers alike paid tribute to Asha’s transformative work. India’s Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram, Hon. Alex Chernov AC QC, Governor of Victoria, and a number of other distinguished guests honoured us with their presence at this event.
