We were pleased to have Mr. Ian McBride, the Head of Purpose, British Telecom and Mr. Vivek Chavan visit Asha Polyclinic, followed by a community visit to Mayapuri on the 8th June 2018.
On their maiden visit to Asha, Mr Ian and Vivek were warmly welcomed at Mayapuri slum community where they interacted with the Women’s and Children’s Association. While interacting with the students, Mr Ian shared encouraging words, “I want each of you here to make it big in life, work hard and be smart. You are the talented bunch.”
The scorching heat did not deter our guests from taking a walk in the community to experience life in a slum first-hand. Mr Ian was very enthusiastic about the apprentices’ programme for which they will collaborate with Asha to provide opportunities to the children in the slums.
We thank the British Telecom for visiting Asha and hope that our association yields result for the betterment of our Asha slum communities.
