Asha recently had the privilege of hosting the Australian High Commissioner, His Excellency Philip Green OAM, at the Asha Ambedkar Basti slum community. He spent meaningful time with our university students and showed genuine interest in their journeys, aspirations, and challenges.

His Excellency also visited a slum home, where he expressed admiration for the way families remain organised, dignified, and content even within very small living spaces.

Before leaving, he shared his desire to meet again at the High Commission for a one on one conversation so that we can explore future areas of collaboration.

He was accompanied by George Thiveos, Minister Councillor of Education, and Sunny, an Asha alumnus whom we had supported to pursue his Masters in Australia and who now works at the Australian High Commission.
