DCM of the Embassy of Finland, New Delhi visits Asha

We had an immense pleasure of having the Deputy Head of Mission (DCM) of the Embassy of Finland in New Delhi – Suomen suurlähetystö New Delhi, Ms Seija Kinni, on 10th July 2018. On her maiden visit to Asha, she was welcomed by the Asha team at the Headquarters.

DCM Ms Seija Kinni visited Kusumpur Pahadi slum community despite her busy schedule, along with Yashika Bansal. She interacted with the students and women from the community, they provided her with an overview of their life then and now.

She was delighted to learn about the transformational initiatives taken on community empowerment, education, health and environment in their area. She was impressed by the whole experience.

Dr Kiran warmly welcomed DCM Ms Seija Kinni at the Asha Polyclinic and Diagnostic Centre, during their interaction the winter internship was discussed.

“I am touched by this visit. Although I am leaving Delhi, but I wish to remain in close connection with Asha. And I want to keep this partnership growing. This winter we plan to take Asha interns to provide them with on the job experience”- said DCM Ms Seija Kinni.

We wholeheartedly appreciate DCM Ms Seija Kinni for visiting us and hope that the association between Embassy of Finland and Asha will only grow in the coming days.
