Former Australian Cricketer Damien Fleming visits Asha

Former Australian Cricketer, Damien Fleming visited Asha on March 29, 2016. Damien has been in India for the past few days for the ICC T20 World Cup. Having been associated with a travel show in Australia, Damien visited Asha in order see what happens beyond the stadium walls – from markets and street scenes, to community projects for the under privileged in the country.

Damien visited Kanak Durga slum colony and witnessed some of Asha’s work going on to improve the life of slum dwellers. He also played cricket with the children and Asha team. Later he went around the slum and interacted with the women and children, understanding their perspective.
