A delightful couple Dr Praveen and Dr Nalini Prasad hosted an Asha event at their beautiful home in Sacramento, and invited family and friends to attend. Dr Praveen is a neurosurgeon and Dr Nalini a primary care physician. Dr Kiran had the privilege of getting to know them through a dear friend Rohit Patel. Rohit and his wife Mridula have been championing the cause of Asha with so much passion among their family and friends.
The gathering was made up of Indians who have been living in the US for the past many years. It gave them great joy to hear stories of transformation among the poor living in the land of their fathers and forefathers. They were filled with enthusiasm for the work of Asha.
This is the third consecutive year that Praveen and Nalini have hosted an Asha event, with the number of supporters only increasing each year, in Sacramento. A big Asha Thank you to Praveen and Nalini, as well as Rohit and Mridula for their wonderful efforts!
