We were delighted to have a wonderful team of 4 teachers and 15 students from the Methodist College Belfast, Northern Ireland, who volunteered for 10 days at Asha’s Kalkaji Community centre in the month of February.
This enthusiastic team spread a lot of joy and cheer among the children and students with their fun activities ranging from beautiful mural paintings to art and craft. It was very thoughtful of the team to donate 5 laptops towards Kalkaji centre for students use and organize the book library for children, making it very user-friendly. Not restricting themselves to only this, the team counselled impending college students and their parents, advocating for a better future.
It was very special to have them here for our 30th-year celebrations. Keeping Asha values in mind, our children expressed their gratitude by entertaining the team through various cultural performances and thanking them for their generosity.
